INTRODUCTION Fluoride is a widespread, non-biodegradable and relatively persistent pollution in the environment (Lee, 1983). Due to its high biological activity and small ionic radius, it penetrates easily into the organisms and tissues. It has adverse effects of high and chronic effects on different tissues (Rosenquist and Lemperg, 1974; Devi and Piska, 2006 a and b). Hence, the present work is carried out to determine the effect of fluoride intoxication on amino transferase enzyme activity in fresh water cat fish, Clarias batrachus.
